I am seriously behind here since Molly turned one more than a week ago. I would claim being busy, but that's always the case it seems! Alas, without any further ado here is the report on Molly at 12 months.
Stats at one year:
19 lbs 4.5 oz (22nd %), 29 inches (47th %), head circumference 46.5 cm (86th %- she has a big head!)
She's a healthy little girl, even if she is on the skinny side (apparently we make skinny babies). She eats everything! And likes just about everything too! Peas, blueberries, grilled cheese sandwiches, crackers, toast, eggs (we just tried these this week), cereal. Her favorites are banana's (she will even say "nana"), milk, and graham crackers.
She walks. This is old news. She took her first steps at 10 months and has only gotten faster. She climbs up on the kids sized picnic table, Joanna's bed, and anything else under a foot tall. She claps, waves, blows kisses, makes yummy noises (she smacks her lips and goes "mmmmm") when she likes her food, and gives hugs. She will also walk up to you and put her head in your lap- so cute! Miss Molly has to be the sweetest little baby I have ever met. And she has a smile that will melt anyone's heart.
She's also recently started saying more words. She says Mama (which can either mean Mama or give me more), Dada (though not as often as Christian would like), Papa (Grandpa), BaBa (which means bottle/sippy cup or pacifier), Duck (well, she says "du"), and nana (Banana).
She loves baby dolls, stuffed animals, and books with "touch and feel" pages. She loves water, balls, and playing in the sand (which she WILL eat unless you give her a shovel). She also loves to follow her sister around and try to do everything that Joanna does.
We feel so blessed to have this beautiful little sweetheart in our lives. Life with two kids, nursing school and a stressed out husband has been tough, but this little cutie can make you smile on even the toughest of days. I can't wait to see what the next years have in store for her.
