Merry Christmas! 2011

Our Christmas cards didn’t ever arrive- a fact which only slightly dampened my holiday spirit. So, instead of sending a Christmas card this year a blog post will have to do.

The best we could do for a family picture on Christmas day….

A few highlights from this year:

  • Christian started Mountain Bike racing in March! He’s done well, got his first ribbon on his 35th birthday, and most importantly had lots of fun! His favorite Christmas present this year was a new race bike!
  • Sarah kept busy in 2011 with her second and third semesters of Nursing school. She will graduate in April 2012! And will sit for her licensure exam in the summer.
  • We welcomed a new baby girl, Molly Adalyn, to our family in May. She is the happiest baby and has brought much joy and laughter into our home. She continually amazes us with her sweet disposition and her desire to catch up with her big sister Joanna. Just before Christmas she started crawling at just seven months! We love watching her grow every single day and she has been a true blessing in our home.

  • Joanna developed many new skills this year, and most importantly is talking up a storm these days. She has loved having a new baby sister to play with. She also enjoys going to nursery (her class at church), playing with friends, reading books, singing songs, and playing outside. She is our little ham, and is always amusing us with her shenanigans. Whether it’s putting Mrs. Potato Head glasses on the Christmas tree, making a silly face, singing a silly song, putting on a silly costume, or playing “boats” with laundry baskets, she keeps us laughing!

  • Our dog Tieg is the same as always; quiet, well behaved, and sweet. She’s slowing down as she approaches 6, but continues to be a play mate to our girls and a companion to Christian and I.

Wishing all our friends and family a Merry Christmas and Happy New year!

Love,

The Burrell’s

Sarah, Christian, Joanna, Molly and Tieg
