Beautiful bread

I've always been intimidated by making bread. Something about the kneading, fear of killing the yeast or having it not turn out made me shy away for a long time. I received a Kitchen Aid stand mixer for Christmas, and that changed everything. This is a basic white sandwich bread from the Cooks Illustrated "New Best Recipes". I was pleasantly surprised that it had a nice, full, yeasty flavor, a delicate texture and beautiful color. For my first loaf I'm pretty happy with my accomplishment.
